2026 Beijing China Wind Power (CWP2026) Call for Academic Papers


The 2026 Beijing China Wind Power (CWP2026) will be held from 14 to 16 October 2026 at the China International Exhibition Center (Shunyi Hall), Beijing. The Organising Committee hereby officially launches the call for academic papers.


The academic paper solicitation activities of the CWP have been successfully held for many years. They have received strong support and wide attention from professionals across the wind power industry. Over time, they have become an important platform for sharing advanced technologies, strengthening cooperation among industry, academia, research institutes and users, and promoting the application of innovative research. These activities continue to provide academic and technical support for the high-quality development of the wind power industry.


Academic innovation drives industrial upgrading, and scientific research supports the future development of the industry. To further encourage academic exchange in the wind power sector, identify cutting-edge research achievements, promote cross-disciplinary cooperation and technology integration, and support the wind power industry chain in developing toward higher-end, smarter and larger-scale growth, we now invite outstanding academic papers from across the industry. The relevant details are as follows:

I. Topics for Paper Submission


Papers may include, but are not limited to, the following topics:


1. Wind Turbine and Component Equipment Technology

Focusing on the research and development of new technologies, processes, and materials related to wind turbines and components, and addressing complex environmental conditions such as typhoons, high-altitude areas, low-wind-speed regions, extreme high and low temperatures, and desert/Gobi/wilderness areas, technical research will be conducted on high reliability, power generation performance improvement, noise reduction, efficiency enhancement, and economic optimization of wind turbines, covering design, manufacturing, and performance optimization of turbines and components.


2. Wind Resource Assessment and Refined Wind Farm Development Technology

Integrating advanced monitoring technologies such as AI, satellite remote sensing, and lidar to achieve high-precision wind resource assessment in scenarios including desert/Gobi/wilderness areas, large-scale wind power bases, deep-sea offshore areas, and complex mountainous terrain; studying intelligent wind farm siting, wake control, and coordinated dispatch of wind farm clusters to improve overall wind energy utilization efficiency.


3. Wind Site Design and Engineering Construction Technology

Covering civil foundation design and construction of wind sites, booster station and electrical system design, wind turbine installation and construction equipment, transportation of large wind power components, modular installation equipment and integrated process technologies for offshore wind power; establishing a full lifecycle safety management system for projects, including online structural monitoring, construction risk prevention and control, low-carbon green construction solutions, and standardized engineering management models.


4. Digitalized Smart Wind Farm Operation and Maintenance Technology

Relying on big data, digital twins, and other technologies to build intelligent O&M systems, with a focus on breakthroughs in accurate wind power forecasting, intelligent equipment fault diagnosis, autonomous unmanned inspection, and coordinated dispatch technologies for green electricity and computing power, thereby achieving unmanned, refined, and highly efficient smart operation of wind farms.


5. Wind Power Grid Connection Control and High-Renewable-Penetration Grid Support Technology

Studying key grid-connection technologies such as grid-forming wind turbines, flexible DC transmission, and virtual inertia support; exploring coordinated dispatch of source-grid-load-storage systems, grid stability control, and market-oriented operation schemes under high wind power penetration in combination with electricity market mechanisms.


6. Wind Power Full Lifecycle Recycling and Equipment Upgrading Technology

Conducting technical research on repowering and replacement of aging wind turbines and life-extension retrofits; overcoming challenges in wind power composite material recycling and resource reutilization processes; establishing a carbon accounting system for the entire wind power chain and constructing implementation pathways for a circular economy in wind power.


7. Integrated Renewable Energy and Multi-Energy Complementary Application Technology

Addressing wind power consumption bottlenecks by developing long-term safe energy storage systems adapted to the intermittent characteristics of wind power and unifying energy storage management standards; studying large-scale wind-solar-storage bases and microgrid solutions for industrial parks, and exploring operational models for joint participation of wind power and energy storage in electricity markets.


8. Zero-Carbon Coupling and Green Fuel Production Technology for Wind Power

Optimizing the full-process technologies of wind-powered hydrogen and ammonia production to adapt to the fluctuating output characteristics of wind power; making breakthroughs in offshore hydrogen production platforms and key equipment for hydrogen storage and transportation, promoting the large-scale application of green hydrogen and green ammonia in industrial and transportation sectors, and improving supporting industrial policies.


9. Offshore Wind Power and Supporting Engineering Assurance Technology

Research and development of offshore wind power equipment, including domestically produced floating platforms, mooring systems, dynamic subsea cables, and intelligent typhoon-resistant control strategies;

Research and development of offshore wind engineering assurance equipment, including offshore wind foundations, specialized installation and O&M vessels, and underwater supporting equipment.


10. Low-Carbon Development, Market Policy, and Industry Governance Research for the Wind Power Industry

Conducting empirical research on carbon reduction, carbon trading, and green finance across the entire wind power industry chain; analyzing issues such as industry standard development, supply chain security, and ecological and environmental protection.


II. Paper Submission Requirements


1. Timeline

  • From now until 30 September 2026: Submit an extended abstract (1,500–2,000 words) or the full paper.
  • From 1 October to 10 October 2026: The Organizing Committee will review submissions and notify selected authors by email and phone.


2. Submission Requirements

  • Extended abstracts and full papers may be submitted in either Chinese or English.
  • Please provide the author’s biography and detailed contact information. For papers with multiple authors, please provide the biography of the author who is expected to participate in the CWP2026 exchange.
  • Please refer to the attached “Paper Submission Formatting Requirements” for formatting and length specifications.
  • Papers previously submitted to past CWP, or papers whose content lacks innovation compared with previous submissions, will not be accepted by the Organizing Committee.


III. Paper Presentation Opportunities


The Organizing Committee will invite industry experts to evaluate the submitted papers. Selected papers will be offered the following presentation opportunities:


1.All selected papers will be included in the electronic conference proceedings.

2.Some selected papers will be made into posters for on-site display at CWP2026.

3.Based on the paper content and conference agenda, some selected authors will be invited to present their papers at relevant forums of CWP2026.

4.Selected papers will be recommended to Wind Energy magazine (CN11-5942/TK) for potential publication. The final publication decision is subject to the review and notification of the editorial office of Wind Energy magazine.


IV. Additional Notes


1.The Organizing Committee will invite industry experts to conduct rigorous peer review to improve the quality of selected papers and strive to identify and recommend papers with greater academic value.

2.The purpose of paper solicitation is to promote academic exchange. The Organizing Committee does not own the copyright of the included papers, and authors may publish their papers in other professional journals according to their own wishes.

3.Authors are solely responsible for the content of their papers. If the Organizing Committee receives any written complaint regarding intellectual property rights of a submitted paper, it reserves the right to cancel the paper’s inclusion and presentation opportunity at the conference. Any other liabilities shall be borne by the submitter.

Main Text

  1. Margins: Top, bottom, left, and right margins should all be set to 2.5 cm.
  2. Font: Main text should be in Song (English and numbers in Times New Roman), No. 5 font, with 20-point line spacing. The total length is preferably within 6 pages.
  3. Units: It is recommended to use the International System of Units (SI units).
  4. References: References should be placed after the main text and numbered in the order of appearance using Arabic numerals in square brackets.
  5. File Format: Abstracts and full papers should be submitted in Word format.
  6. Figures: High-resolution editable images should be provided separately for all figures included in the paper.
