Powering the Ocean Frontier丨CWP Offshore 2025: Industry Leaders Gather to Unlock the Future of Deep-Sea Wind Power — Join Us in Beijing!

From October 20 to 22, 2025, the China Wind Power 2025 (CWP2025) will be held at the China International Exhibition Center (Shunyi Hall), Beijing. Concurrently, the CWP Offshore – Offshore Wind Engineering & Equipment Exhibition will take place, with a dedicated focus on the technological innovation and industrial integration driving offshore wind into deeper waters. This event will serve as a premier platform for global stakeholders to engage in high-level technical exchanges and forge strategic partnerships, supporting the industry's evolution to a new future.

Offshore Wind Is Advancing Into Deeper Seas, With Strong Market Growth Ahead

As a global leading market in wind energy, China continues to drive offshore wind development. In 2024, China added over 4 GW of new offshore wind capacity to the grid, accounting for more than 50% of the global market, ranking first worldwide for the seventh consecutive year.

The Global Offshore Wind Outlook and the Global Wind Energy Report were officially released at the recently held 2025 Offshore Wind Conference. The reports reveal that wind power in China has seen rapid growth this year, with wind generation now exceeding 12% of the country’s total electricity output.

By 2030, global offshore wind capacity is projected to exceed 230 GW, with China’s deep-sea wind projects poised to become a key driver for international collaboration and growth.

China's technical offshore wind potential within nearshore waters (5–50 meters deep) is estimated at 500 GW, while the available wind energy resources in deeper and farther offshore areas are three to four times greater. Fully tapping into the potential of offshore wind and accelerating the development of deep-sea wind resources is of strategic importance.

Qin Haiyan, Vice Chairman of the World Wind Energy Association and Secretary-General of the China Wind Energy Committee(CWEA), stated that expanding into deep offshore areas is an inevitable trend for the future of offshore wind development. Promoting cluster-based deployment in deep waters and distant seas not only helps alleviate pressure on nearshore resources but also fosters the integration of offshore wind with the broader marine economy.

Industry Leaders Gathering — CWP2025 Invites You to Join in a New Era of Offshore Wind

China’s offshore wind sector has entered a phase of market-driven acceleration, marked by three emerging trends: the rapid shift toward deep and far offshore development, continuous technological innovation, and increasing integration with multiple industries. At CWP Offshore 2025, the spotlight will be on deep-sea wind power, with a comprehensive showcase of globally leading products, technologies, and solutions across the full offshore wind value chain. This includes construction and installation, survey and design, specialized vessels for installation and operations, cranes, piling and hydraulic systems, lifting and rigging solutions, high-altitude work equipment, underwater robotics, anti-corrosion coatings, cables and wiring, and maritime services. By bringing together cutting-edge innovation and industry expertise, the event will support the high-quality development of offshore wind and help shape the sector’s next chapter.
